The Air We Breathe, the Water We Drink: How AWG Works

What if we told you the next glass of water you drink can literally come from the very air you're breathing at this moment? No magic, no whimsical thinking. Simply sound science—and a new technology called Atmospheric Water Generation (AWG). Let's be honest, traditional sources of water have come under stress like none other.

And here is a lesser-known fact: the atmosphere is an abundant, renewable source of water. At any given time, it has an estimated 12,900 cubic kilometers of water vapor. This represents six times the amount of water in all the rivers of the world combined.

The catch? You need the right tech to tap into it. That's where AWG steps in.

So, How Does AWG Actually Work?

Think of AWG as a high-tech dehumidifier—only smarter, cleaner, and built for a far greater purpose.

At Oxydus, our AWG systems powered by Teva7 Technology extract water from the air through a four-step process:

  • Air Intake

Ambient air is pulled into the system, filled with invisible water vapor.

  • Cooling to Dew Point

The air is cooled to its dew point—the exact temperature at which vapor condenses into liquid water. This step mimics nature's rain cycle but in a highly controlled, energy-efficient way. Even at humidity levels as low as 30%, our systems deliver.

  • Condensation & Collection

Water droplets are formed and collected in a sterile chamber—free from soil contaminants or aging pipes.

  • Filtration & Mineralization

The water undergoes multi-stage filtration, UV sterilization, and mineral rebalancing. The result? Fresh, clean drinking water that meets or exceeds WHO standards.

Why This Matters

Let's compare the options:

Water Source  Setup  Scalability  Environmental Impact

Groundwater  Intensive Regional  Aquifer depletion, land issues

Bottled Water  Heavy logistics  Centralized  CO₂ emissions, plastic waste

Desalination  Coastal only  Large-scale  Marine damage, brine disposal

AWG  Low setup  Flexible  Renewable, minimal footprint

AWG doesn't require rain, rivers, or underground access. It works anywhere there's air—from deserts to disaster zones—and offers clean water at the point of use, drastically reducing transmission loss.

But… Is It Sustainable?

Absolutely. When powered by solar or hybrid energy sources, AWG becomes one of the most sustainable water technologies on the planet. According to MIT studies, AWG systems can produce water using up to 75% less energy than desalination and with zero waste discharge.

And unlike bottled water—which can emit up to 3 liters of CO₂ per liter of water produced—AWG's localized generation slashes carbon emissions and plastic dependency. The bonus? No brine, no chemicals, and no guilt.

From Air to Action

At Oxydus, we believe water should be local, dependable, and environmentally safe. Our modular Teva7 AWG systems are being used in homes, schools, agriculture, and emergency relief operations. Each drop harvested from the air is a step toward climate resilience.

The future of water isn't underground — it's floating all around us.

Final Sip

We breathe the air every second of the day. Why not drink it too?

AWG is more than a water solution, it's a climate-smart innovation. It's hydration, powered by the sky.

Drink the sky. Live sustainably. Hydrate the future—with Oxydus.
